If you come here in the evening, the stall sells a really popular Fish Head Steamboat and other dishes that draws crowds that wait 45mins-2hrs for their food. Come real early or later in the evening if you don’t want to deal with the crowd. Or you can snack on something at block 90 before hopping over to block 91. The only other option you have at block 91 at night is Loy Kee Chicken Rice and a couple of drink stalls. But if you come here in the morning, the stall sells a really good bowl of fishball noodles that draws a long queue as well. Really flavourful and the dry version is strong on the vinegar while the soup version is an umami-packed slurp. A bowl of noodles costs $ 2.50($ 3 if you want a bigger serving) and the usual noodle varieties are available.

If you head to Whampoa Market in the evening, you will see a lot of people sitting around eating at the only stall that is opened which is sells the Fish Head Steamboat. It is the only stall that is open. so it is pretty easy to spot. You get to choose from different kind of fish for your fish head steamboat. I always go for their Pomfret. Do head now early to avoid the queue. The usual estimated waiting time will around an hour. Good food really has to wait. So when your fish head steamboat arrives, the aunties will let you to choose their side dishes. They sell really nice braised duck wings. The soup is so sweet and the fish is really really fresh. Love the vegetables in the soup as well. The only negative thing I would want to say is the stall owners are quite rude. They don’t allow takeaway as well.
