I stayed next door at the The Inn on Temple Street and they actually have a sliding door attached to this. I do admit I did ponder getting drunk on Harbin beer for dinner then I could just«slide» through the sliding door… and… slide my way back to my room… ha haha… Anyway, it was nice eating here, even though it was quiet the afternoon I went. The one dish I ordered was actually one of my favorites ever! It wasn’t crazy or aromatic or delicious but it totally jived with my taste, if that makes sense. It was good and simple but the catch was yummy, warm roasted(?) chestnuts were in my meat & rice dish. I haven’t had tasty, roasted, warm chestnuts since the cart outside Uwajimaya here in Seattle a while back. Beer to wash ‘er down is good. Service was ok but the gal seemed nice. Usually when it’s during quiet periods, people in general tend to just chat, shoot the breeze or go outside and smoke — which is fine when it’s slow, eh? Mmm, warm roasted chestnuts with meat & rice… and beer — Harbin beer *burp*.
