I know I was supposed to be writing about the food and how it made me «salivate» for more and wanting to come back for more. But I think I would like to review about something else that adds to great food. That’s great service. Service with a smile. Standing by what your brand stands for. Usual fanfare food as in all Tung Lok Restaurants. But wait. Something beckons here. Amid the usual tasty food that they provide, something stirs here. I came here for my CNY2016 reunion dinner with my family in tow. Initially I was greeted by a 50-ish supervisor with a pretty unhappy face. She doesn’t seem to wanna serve. And I was kinda affected by it as «Hey! It’s a reunion dinner and it was supposedly to be a happy thing!» Then came along a young waitress. She kinda brighten up the day a little. She was chatty and attentive and looking so bright just like the New Year! Ever so ready to assist us. And that, I believe was what Tung Lok stand for. Good food. Great service. The rest was like — Tung Lok style. The Sharks Fin soup, the Fried Chicken, the Steamed Fish and the Lotus Leave Glutinous Rice. Usual food and constant food quality like in all their branches. Even the simple mango sago dessert tasted good. I firmly believe it’s the extra ingredient that made it all that even better — service with a smile and poise — Tung Lok Style. Now for the usual — I will be back for more!!! Kudos to that young waitress! You did not save the day, you made my day!
