Toa Payoh Golf Range

This golf Driving Range has so much sentimental value. It is the very range where I learned this beautiful game about 20 years ago. And to tell you the truth, it’s almost exactly how I remember it!
This is a no frills driving range with the pretentious baggage that some other driving ranges on the red dot have (*cough* MBGC). For $ 7, you get 90 golf balls, which is a huge discount to MBGC of ~$ 16 for a 100 golf balls (they make you buy a range card!). There are two levels of hitting bays which is more than enough bays for everyone. The range stretches 220 yards, which is long enough to track the distance of your longest irons.
Make no mistake about it. This is the best place to learn how to play golf in Singapore. The range has a 12+ man strong training staff through the Mizuno branded golf school. In fact, next to me we’re two juniors getting a lesson. I didn’t agree with the pros’ teaching style, essentially drilling the kids and giving them a hard time after every bad shot, which for some sucks the fun out of the game. Nevertheless, this pro could be the exception to the rule as I saw another teaching pro, who was a little more relaxed.
The range was clean and the mats were well maintained. Furthermore, the range has a strong partnership with the 9 hole executive par 3 golf course where you could score green fees discounts if you are a regular at this facility. Again, this partnership is great for juniors and beginners. Last, but not least, they have a TaylorMade only golf shop. If you are a big fan of everything TaylorMade and Adidas Golf as I am with their Drivers and shoes, there is no better place in SG to buy brand new these babies than here.
