I went stargazing last night and surprisingly, had a good time. Volunteers were present to guide visitors to look at the stars and Mars(planet of the month) through their personal telescopes. Their telescopes cost hundred of dollars, so be careful not to damage them by accident. In fact, some volunteers won’t even let you touch their precious telescopes. Can’t blame them about it. If you’re not tall enough to see through the lenses, don’t worry. They’ve prepared chairs, so you can prop yourself against the back of these chairs to look at the stars in the sky. The skies were clear, so we did get to see a number of constellations. The volunteers were only too happy to share their knowledge with visitors. I was told that light from space takes four years to travel back to earth, so what we saw, was actually what the stars looked like four years ago. There were also two stars so close to each other, they looked like one. The free stargazing sessions only happen on Friday nights, so come early to beat the queue. Behold, you now have another date idea.
