The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf sells consistently great Ice Tea and consistently crappy food.
Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. CBTL is known for their free WIFI, which makes them standout in the strip of restaurants at the Rail Mall. The place was packed at this time of day and there was only 1 table available. Luckily next to one of the few power plugs. The table was really small and could hardly fit 2 laptops.
CBTL serves risotto from the freezer, heated up in the oven. They don’t even bother to take the pasta’s and risotto’s out of the aluminum. The side salad is just pathetic and the whole dish doesn’t look appetizing at all. The pancakes are equally sad. Small, non nutritious and just simply pathetic. The maple syrup also couldn’t compensate the carton taste. Only the delicious ice tea could to a certain extent.
