One of those places I wish I could give some advice! In Singapore, a cheesesteak is hard to come by. This place is on the edge of being good, but unfortunately doesn’t make the cut. With just a few modifications, this place could be above average. The steak itself wasn’t bad, but the only cheese option was provolone. A cheese whiz offering would go a long way here and add some much needed relief from the dryness of the sandwich. My biggest beef(see what I did there?) was the menu. Another reviewer commented that it was confusing with no descriptions, to which I thought«who needs a description to order a cheesesteak?» Well, turns out they had a point. There were several items on the menu that were confusing, notably the«classic cheesesteak» which was pictured having Chili peppers on it(how is that classic?). When we asked, they seemed confused, and then said«no, there are no chili peppers on it», leading one to ask why it was pictured as such. A classic cheesesteak spot would typically just offer a cheesesteak, and let the customer specify what they wanted beyond cheese and steak. So in short, I wish they would either decide to give descriptions, or don’t – and allow the customer to decide. The middle ground is making things more difficult than it needs to be. Lastly, they only accept cash, which in 2015 still amazes me, but not the end of the world. It’s worth noting the prices are very reasonable, even by US standards. Overall, it’s not bad – it’s just not great. A few tweaks and this could be a viable option for any westerner! If you absolutely have to have a cheesesteak, then this might be your only/best option.

As good as a cheese steak one can find in Singapore. No cheese whiz. It is pricey for what you are actually paying for. Will try again in a few months to see if they can improve their product.

I had such high hopes for this place, once I found it on Unilocal I immediately bookmarked and started planning on how I could make it for a try. Planning our Sunday I included bowling and Splash N Surf in order to allow for lunch here. Unfortunately I was disappointed; perhaps I was expecting too much and forgot how new it was. It’s newness showed in the experience, but some was just bad design. First, it is very hard to find, it is on the outside back of the mall, if you aren’t looking for it, you won’t find it. They even joke about their location in some of their signage. Once we found it and got in we eagerly began looking over the menu, with no description explaining any of the dishes I decided to just stick with the Original Cheese Steak, and not try the unknown. I walked up to order the 10″ I didn’t want to mess around and was struck with the first disappointment, no 10″ hoagie bread, they had just cut out half their menu and their more expensive half; not a good business move. Then, while ordering drinks and sides it was suggested I get a combo, but instead of getting the large side and large drink as I wanted I was told with the combo I couldn’t get the large size, another bad business move. Additionally the whole ordering process was confusing with many interruptions for clarity or questions from the staff and literally working in the dark, they appear to have digital menu boards which were not on, this would have helped clear up the combos and ordering process. Once the food came, the chicken cheesesteak first, with the beef coming much later? The cheese steaks were okay, not the traditional with the wiz, a little bit dry, but good taste and not bad. knowing what to expect I might be able to use some condiments to touch it up a bit in the future. There was a promotion including chicken wings, which came out not fully cooked. This place has potential, I will come back and hopefully have a better experience.

Automatic stars for opening with a Tokidoki collaboration! I dragged my friend here because I’d seen the exclusive Tokidoki stickers on Instagram and the good food ended up being a bonus. My ex-pat friend who’s lived in Singapore for 3 years was excited to try this place — I guess it’s hard to find a good cheese steak in SG. It’s a brand new store so very clean and hooray for having air conditioning. Great friendly service and the food came out pretty quickly. We had eaten earlier so just split a medium 7″ classic and twister(curly!) fries and it was more than enough food. Delish authentic cheese steak, love that they offer curly fries because spiral potatoes are always somehow more fun. My friend is happy to have found a place in Singapore that can do a decent cheese steak for times when he misses American comfort food. As other reviews mentioned, price is slightly high for US standards — it was under 12SGD, which is about US$ 8.50 with fries. But beef was extremely expensive when I looked at the grocery store, so with that in mind this is actually a bargain. The one suggestion I have is to offer cheese whiz(yummy orange fake cheese) in addition to the provolone, but that’s just personal preference.

Very tasty and cheesy sandwiches. Clean shop and friendly staff. A bit pricy but you’re paying for beef so that’s to be expected. Small kids area which is a nice touch. Only suggestion is they put out napkins. Also, I didn’t understand why they brought out one sandwich at a time and they have 3 staff. Other than that, Great place.

Stopped in here the first weekend they were open and had a pretty darn good cheesesteak — it’s not Pat’s or Gino’s but better than I expected. Price was ok; not a bargain but worth the price. I really hope they attract enough attention to stay open. It’s a nice addition to the offerings at the mall.
