One coffee shop — two stalls. Tom’s fishball noodles is the only food you’ll find here(the other guys sells drinks), and once you’ve tasted them, you’ll wonder why you ever ate fishballs anywhere else. Super rustic outfit too — seems like it hasn’t been renovated in 20 years, but things are neat and tidy still! Check out the photo o the super old-school glass that my teh peng came in!

At this unassuming coffeeshop, there are not a whole lot of options, but there sure is a whole lot of people forming the lunch crowd. Perhaps all you can get is fishball noodles, but that is precisely the highlight here. Order the fishball noodle soup, especially with the rat’s tail rice noodle(mee tai mak). The simple flavours of the clear soup will make your eyes pop and bring you far away back to childhood days. At least it did for me. The fragrant oils perfumed by scallions and a bit of pork lard, a good soup base, boiled evidently for hours is rid of any sediments and impurity. Coupled with the handmade fishballs, there’s very little to pick at the humble $ 3 bowl.
