This place sits on a street that has many restaurants. Went there since my friend recommended it but I found the food not so great. While the other restaurants were full of patrons, this one was not so. That should have been a red flag to me!

Outstanding food, service and ambience. Owner Sunil was extremely personable and attentive. The Malabar Mutton Beriyani I ordered was outstanding. Portions were very generous and the dish very flavorful, as was the raita and pickle that came on the side. Some of the meat was a bit tougher than expected and there were far too many curry leaves hence am giving this 4 stars instead of 5. I had a nicely chilled beer which complemented the food in a comfortable air conditioned atmosphere away from the humidity outside. Would recommend to anyone looking for Kerala cuisine in Singapore. Menu is wide and wines are available. Must come back and try other dishes.

Spice Junction is a place I frequent regularly, after a Twitter buddy recommended it. I have been many many times but have written about it a couple of times on my blog. First post on Spice Junction: Second post on Spice Junction: There are some great items on the menu, and others a bit less, but you just have to order the good items :) I love the green pea curry, the onion pakoras are good, the Keralan parotta is pretty awesome, I like the aubergine and potato curry but others are less keen. I quite like the chicken fried with chillies and onions. My friends adore the mutton fry(which has coconut in), the fried prawns and the prawn masala. Everyone we have taken there has loved it. Give it a go :)
