my sim card died on me whilst on holiday in nz!
came here to get a replacement card.
short queue.
quick and helpful staff.
quick id check and mobile no. provided.
new sim card issued.
was told that it might take up to 4 hours for new card to be activated.
tried my luck, inserted it into my mobile anyhow and booted up.
bingo!
back on line.
cant complain, man.
it feels good to be back, connected.
best part, no charges for a replacement sim card!:)

SingTel is my internet service provider and also my mobile phone network provider. I also subscribe to mioTV (I don’t know why because it sucks)
I go to this outlet at the basement of Ngee Ann City for all my mobile phone needs. Service is fast and decent, can’t really complain except that you sometimes have to wait a really long time before you get served.
Mobile phone: Man, what do I have a 3G connection for when I can never seem to get it running fast enough??? It sucks. I have no idea if M1 or Starhub are any better though.
As for my internet, it’s running fine now but I experienced problems at the outset. They hooked it up last year, sending a technician round. I experienced problems after the first month — it kept disconnecting, and it was extremely slow at certain periods of the day. I called them 4 or 5 times, each time trying to get them to fix the problem. They insisted they just needed to «restart» something on their side and it would be fine, but that only fixed the problem temporarily. Finally after the 5^th time I blew my top and they sent another technician down. He solved the problem by switching the wires. He told me he’d seen this problem MANY times– they send trainees who hook it up wrongly and waste a lot of time … that made me feel retarded, but you know they should include this in their troubleshooting guide when advising people over the phone.
MioTV: sucks. You can buy movies or mioTv, I’ve bought like 5 movies right, each time… it STALLS the last 10 minutes of the movie! So don’t buy a cliff-​hanger or anything exciting cos you will never find out how it ended. My MioTV box is sitting there collecting dust now.
