Today was my first day meeting the Singapore Unilocal Elite crew, and I wasn’t disappointed. Having enjoyed their reviews and antics from afar I finally got to put faces to names, and personalities to photos. I found everyone welcoming and engaging to this brash upstart from Australia, and fittingly we were right into the banter from the outset. There’s just something about Unilocalers that makes them special; that strong involvement in a community and sense of belonging. Singapore Unilocalers definitely have that and I enjoyed myself immensely in their company. The brunch itself was a group of us sitting at a communal table talking and laughing whilst we we waited for food, and then talking and laughing whilst we consumed food. Afterwards about half of us went off to find dessert where the laughs and merriment continued(amidst decadent desserts). Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful time; and a special thanks to Nic for organising. Can’t wait till it’s my turn(Hopefully I know somewhere decent to go by then). I shouldn’t have waited 7 weeks to get involved… but you’re stuck with me now!!!
