I am a sucker for tradition and this place is as traditional as it gets. Old school buns that I remember growing up with, with prices to match!
My favorites: peanut, red bean, ham&cheese, prawn sambal! Most goes for $ 0.50 to $ 0.80.
Plus, the owner is teochew like most people who used to live in the neighborhood.
Yeah to old school!

Serangoon Gardens Bakery and Confectionery sells the traditional and old fashion style buns and cakes of the 80s in Singapore!
Their bread fillings ranges from luncheon meat, ham and cheese, sambal, kaya, yam paste, raisin and otah, to name a few… Other pastries like cream puff, egg tarts and old fashioned local cakes such as pandan, walnut, banana and butter cakes are all sold here.
Prices are also like what you would find in the 80s! — most buns go for 60 – 70 cents. If you can travel to Tiong Bahru for croissants, do try their kaya and curry buns in Serangoon!
