Not sure if I am just blind or what, but I keep trying to find places on Unilocal and the addresses lead me to someone’s house. This restaurant was no different. I ended up at Pasir Ris Close and found it.

My family and I go to Sakura for all occasions, like family gatherings and birthdays. I’d say the food is very good for value. There is always something different whenever we go, and recently(Mother’s Day), there was durian balls among the fried items and a wonderful strawberry mousse cake for dessert. And my favorite yam paste was back! Along with bubur pulut hitam too. 2 years ago, for Christmas buffet, there was roast turkey with cranberry sauce. So good. Despite what my friends say, I find the food delicious. I’m happy to say Sakura is one of my fav places to eat, and I recommend it for those who want to try different cuisines from Japanese(there’s sashimi and a whole array of sushi) to Peranakan(ayam buah keluak and kuih pie tee) costing under $ 30 for an adult. Thumbs-up from me! ;D

Let’s face it. This is your standard kiasu Singaporean eat-all-you-can buffet. Nothing fancy, nothing special. The price is decent. The food is edible. Sakura has done a good job catering to the i-just-want-to-pay-once-and-sit-the-whole-day-and-eat-all-I-can buffet fan. They have a pretty good variety of food. Seafood, chinese cuisine, western cuisine, japanese cuisine. Not too bad if you ask me. Oh and their food is halal. Good news for our Muslim friends. :) I would say Sakura is a good place for a family gathering. Sit, chit-chat, eat, make merry. But if you’re looking for good food, go to a proper restaurant.
