The walk straddles the Singapore River as it meanders past a posh, upscale living area in central Singapore. Glass-panelled houses and service apartments line one side of the river, while on the other lie various classy restaurants and casual dining spots. You can enjoy an evening stroll as there is quite a bit of open space, and then pop by for dinner with friends and family. Several cuisines are available here: French, German, Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese, for instance. The centrepiece of the Walk is a courtyard that lies north of a white-walled compound with a clock tower. At the centre of the courtyard is a fountain that reminds one of European architecture. The courtyard provides a pleasant dining experience, and during football season plays host to enthusiasts in comfy cushioned chairs staring at a giant screen.
