Could a tile shop be any cooler?
Rice is the entirely strange name of this incredibly pretty tile shop. As you step in, there is a small display of what looks like bars of colourful chocolate — but are actually mosaic tiles in jeweled colours. The welcome area is filled with artwork from partner establishments and a long table, and there’s a full-​fledged coffee bar with complimentary coffee as you sit and mull over your design options. The shop caters to individuals too, though it is more geared towards designers.
European tile designs, including mosaic and stone, are displayed in tastefully done mini-​rooms throughout 2 shophouse spaces. A neighbour bought the designer Versace or Valentino button ceramic tiles for her new place, and it looks absolutely amazing. A real find for aspiring home owners though the prices of these premium products can be on the high side.
