I had heard great stories of the lovely finds at Taylor B. For once these great stories were true! Taylor B. has beautiful home furnishings. They have traditional, modern and Asian décor. There is certainly something for everyone. The staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy. The prices are decent, especially for Singapore. The only downfall is their weird pricing system. It involves letters and too much thought. I wish they would just put normal price tags on it. Go take a visit! I am sure you will find something.

Taylor B has opened a new showroom at 27 West Coast Highway Second floor 117867. This location features a lighting gallery, a good selection of accesories and rugs. Located across from Haw Par Villa MRT. Look for red building

Love. This. Shop. Hands down favourite furniture shop of mine in the whole of Singapore. This is THE place to go if you are looking for western traditional style furniture, something which I had a lot of trouble finding in most popular furniture shops situated in Park mall, IMM, Furniture mall, etc. Most of these places churn out the usual generic contemporary or mid-century pieces, so Taylor B was really a breath of fresh air. I was as excited as a kid in a candy store when I first entered! There are 3 levels– 1,2,4. Levels 1 and 4 of the warehouse display more of the western style furniture I mentioned earlier. I could find almost the exact same designs I’ve drooled over in my Houzz app. There is a huge range suited to all budgets. I was already aware that they carried high end brands like Caracole, Schnadig and Ralph Lauren Home, but believed that they would surely be out of my reach. Well, they were, though not by as much as I would have thought! e.g. some 3-seater sofas from Lauren Home were going at $ 2000+, one seaters were $ 1000+. I believe this is at least 30% cheaper than the prices I’ve seen in other places. Mid-range pieces of 3-seater sofas were going at about $ 1300 – 1600. Most furniture shops have quoted me $ 1800−3000+ for custom made 3-seater sofas. I can’t comment on the quality of the pieces in Taylor B though, as I did not enquire about specifics such as the material, warranty etc. However, they do have a bunch of friendly and knowledgeble staff on hand who are always ready to answer these questions. Level 2 displays more vintage Chinese and Balinese style furniture, in case that’s more your style. I didn’t bother to glance at the prices here but I heard the Chinese furniture prices were a steal. I haven’t mentioned the accessories you can find here as well– paintings, tons and tons of mirrors with lovely gilded frames(yay!), candle holders etc. all at least 20% cheaper than other home ware stores such as iwannagohome. Oh, and as icing on the cake, they also serve freshly made saybon crepes on level 4. I guess the only minor disappointment for me was that most of the furniture pieces I loved were too large to fit into my tiny flat;(Oh well, all the more reason to aim for a bigger apartment in the future!

Don’t let the location fool you, this is a GEM of a store. Ask for help understanding the price tags. It’s a little silly, but with such a great selection and helpful staff, it’s small thing to worry about.

This has to be one of my favorite shops in Singapore. They have everything from balinese to modern furniture, artwork, great antiques and little crêpe stand while you’re browsing. I’ve been to both outlets(43 and 1557 Keppel Road), but the one at 43 is on first and fourth floors and have more space for inventory, while the one at 1557 serves crepes while you shop. And they make it convenient to go in between the two outlets by providing a free shuttle. Don’t be put off by going through the entrance thinking you’re about to enter a warehouse, well you kinda are. But once the doors open, you’ll be amazed at the inventory and you can have fun searching for the perfect piece for you home. Everyone at the stores are incredibly friendly and they do a fantastic job of giving you design tips or suggestions. Whether you’re buying a sofa, a dining table, perfect centerpiece or something to hang, you have to check this place out first before you go elsewhere. As for me, I can’t wait to get my sofa this week!
