Phuture

One of the squeeziest clubs in Singapore, Phuture has been the go to R&B club for ages.
Thanks to mambo night’s being not so popular, clobbers can finally get some breathing room on Wednesday’s as they take over Zouk’s main dance floor, with Mambo situated at Phuture’s room instead.
This is quite blasphemous for long time Zouk fans, but at least we don’t have to squeeze so much anymore.

Phuture is a nightclub just one floor above Zouk, and is popular among the younger crowd in Singapore. Do not be surprised to find throngs of young teens and army guys queuing to get in. The cover charge ranges from $ 25 to $ 33, depending whether there are special djs performing or events that night. Ladies also get free entry every Wednesdays on Ladies’ Night. Surprisingly, there are usually more guys than ladies at Phuture on Wednesdays.
What draws the crowd here is the music. RnB beats start playing around 10pm and stops only at 4am. The dance floor usually gets more crowded at midnight, which is when the dj starts playing popular songs that make the crowd go wild. The dance floor here is smaller than that at Zouk, so it does tend to get really cramped, so much so that you have to literally squeeze yourself in to get to the middle of the dance floor. Other than that, the ambience is great and it is a nice place to spend an unforgettable night with a group of friends.
