This was my first time trying this restaurant Palio @ Resort World Sentosa a Tuscan cuisine. This restaurant is also part of Hotel Michael on Sentosa. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept which is kool because you can see them make your food.
Upon arrival the servers and staff are quite friendly and helpful at this restaurant. They were very accommodating and allowed us to sit at any table we wanted. Also was there to help and serve you when you needed something.
After you placed your ordered they will serve you a small loaf of bread from the oven with a tomato based dipping sauce. They also have balsamic vinaigrette for you as well. I liked the bread a lot because it was nice and hot, hard on the outside and soft on the inside. Along with the dipping sauce made it one of the best dishes out of the whole meal.
On this visit we order one appetizer and two entries:
Calamari Rings (Appetizer): I felt this was okay and not great. I personally wish it was fried longer. Also the breading was just average. To me it was like any calamari rings I could have got at any other restaurant.
Pici all’ Aglione: This is one of their signature dishes. It is a linguine pasta served with half Boston lobster in arrabbiata sauce. The pasta was cooked well and arrabbiata sauce was good and flavorful. But the problem was it says it was supposed to be a half a lobster but we only got two small pieces of lobster in our dish. This left you feeling like where is the rest of my lobster. Personally the price for this dish was expensive due to the portion of the lobster. But overall the pasta and sauce was good.
Wood Fire Pizza (Forgot the name): But it was like a classic pepperoni pizza. Except it was spicy pepperoni. I like this pizza a lot and would come back to eat it. It was cooked perfectly and it had a thin crust. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. They also have freshly grated parmesan cheese upon request to go with your pizza.
