the milkshakes here are very good. had trouble narrowing down what we wanted, so we asked if we could sample some of the ice cream flavors. weirdly enough, it wasn’t possible. like i get the inconvenience of sampling the actual milkshakes, but we asked about the ice cream, which they do sell stand-alone. what kind of ice cream place doesn’t let you sample the flavors? also, responding to «so what’s popular here» with«depends on what you like»? c’mon, try a little, bro. anyway, there was some kind of promo on the babelicious baileys($ 3.80), so we got it as well as the little hazelnutella($ 2.90). opted for the deceptively small minis, and totally recommend following suit unless you wanna make a meal of it(or have the appetite of godzilla) — the milkshakes run incredibly rich and thick. i liked them both, with a slight pref for the hazulnutella since nutella is implicitly known as nectar from the gods. the babelicious baileys tasted so strongly of baileys that i can totally see getting a buzz from the larger sizes. if i return, i’d be curious to see how their peanut butter milkshake stacks up against jamba juice’s peanut butter moo’d.

Dont bother coming here. Their staff are not interested in doing business. The place closes at 11pm and last order is 1030pm and i arrived at 1025pm but i was turned away. No wonder the entire place is empty on a friday night. What a disappointment.

This is the first of the OUAM outlets. Though limited in space, the cozy atmosphere is perfect for any small post-gathering wind down, especially since the menu consists of milkshakes, ice cream and waffles. It’s also just as romantic for a date with a tag line of «Happily Ever After» and purple theme, hence I proposed to my beloved there. This outlet tends to be crowded during the lunch hour especially due to the proximity to ever popular Maxwell Food Centre. However, you should be able to get your milkshake fix fairly quickly at other times, unlike the other outlets centrally located in more high traffic spots.

Once Upon A Milkshake sells thick, luscious milkshakes that will satisfy anyone. The store sells unusual milkshake flavours like — bubblegum balloon(bubblegum flavoured) & agent red velvet(chocolate + cheese). My personal favourite though has got to be chocolate truffle castle — i.e. chocolate. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the flavour profile though, the chocolate truffle castle packs a punch — with the intensity of the chocolate sitting nicely with the dense texture of the milkshake. The milkshake prices range from $ 3.90 — $ 9.50, depending on the size and type. My suggestion is to get either the mini or regular sized cup — any more and you might be reeling from the deliciousness of the milkshakes.

Once Upon A Milkshake(OUAM) has long enchanted milkshake lovers at their outlet at Maxwell Chambers with their gobsmacking range of creations, but you will be glad to know that they have graduated to Orchard Rd. Grumbling Raisins or Agent Strawberry is sure to knock your socks off as alcoholic rum and rum-soaked raisins are in abundance. Their milkshakes are not only creamy and thick — they are just plain dreamy.
