New restaurant that opens couple of months ago. Unfortunately, the location is in one of the most ‘colorful’ stretch of Geylang. Colorful as how Geylang is famous for. Thankfully, they have valet parking that saves you the pains of navigating through some dodgy streets. The concept was to bring back some of the old famed vendors of the area under one roof, eg turtle soup, crocodile meat clay pot, seafood. While the food is ok, we didn’t like that our server kept pushing/recommending expensive dishes to us. That is just not cool. I still prefer the turtle soup at Ser Seng in Potong Pasir and crocodile meat is just… so so. If you haven’t tried turtle eggs, they do have it and they are like the size smaller than a ping pong ball, and tasted like all yolk. They open late though, till 4am. But if I am going to look for supper in Geylang, I will head to Lorong 9 for frog leg porridge or beef kway tiao.
