I don’t quite get the appeal of Thai discos, but the music was good and the girls were hot. I don’t understand why anybody would ever buy a garland for the girls… seems pointless. Seems like it’s only for asshats who think that money is impressive.

Love this place! I rarely(almost never) club, preferring to spend my weekends chilling at home but when I do this place is definitely a stop I will try to hit along the way. It’s unpretentious, and everyone’s our to just have a good time. The band is really energetic — I stayed until 4am once and they were still maintaining the same energy levels as when I went in around 11pm. And I like the fact that they play Thai music, so it really feels as though you’re in Bangkok and not in Singapore. The atmosphere and crowd are also really nice, and the fact that the place is quite big means that there’s usually room for you and your group to find a table and space to dance no matter what time you come in. Feel free to buy garlands for the singers or dancers, as they usually come and hang out with their gifters in between performances

Neverland is a really fun place to go drinking at whether you’re into Thai discos or not. The music runs the gamut from English pop to Thai Pop to Rap, Hip Hop and Rock music. Most of the performers are fairly decent though I have to say, some really CMI. Neverland also has a really chill vibe. It’s not a sceney place so you can go wearing shorts and t-shirt and no one will care. The crowd is pretty diverse too. You get the youngsters, bengs, uncles, all sorts. The space is really big, with a really high ceiling and huge stage area. It’s pretty easy to get a table and your own personal space for dancing but the service staff can be a bit pushy about ordering drinks if you want to sit at a table. Still, I think this is perfectly understandable. Overall, Neverland is a really just a really fun place to go.

Wow… Neverland Thai Disco. What’s the allure of Thai Discos? I suppose it makes me feel like I’m in Bangkok again, and that always makes me happy. What more can I say? Actually, a lot more. I used to hate clubbing in Singapore,… until I found this place on the 5th floor of Orchard Plaza last year. It was so unpretentious I just fell in love with it. I entered to them playing Metallica’s «Enter Sandman» and was won over. Then they went on to Thai songs and I really liked those too… the band is crazy good, the singers add to the fun and novelty and the DJ set is awesome too. Nobody cares if you come in bermudas and flip flops, the only focus is on having a good time. Just beware of girls who come up to you and proposition you for a good night, probably a prostitute :) I’ve stopped going so much since they changed the line-up of singers though, and added this horrible rapper who raps over the DJ set. –1 star for that. Otherwise it’s a perfect 5. While admittedly not a club for everybody, for me, clubbing in Singapore doesn’t get much better than this.

Thai discos have taken over Singapore by storm,(offering an alternative to westernized, yuppie clubs) they sit very well with the male community in Singapore, especially. This is one of the few Thai discos that I’ve been to myself and I could see the attraction. There is zero trace of pretentious, ‘I’m classier than you’ vibe here. It’s good a humble feel and there is a lot of eye candy. There are many pretty Thai female and pretty boy male performers here singing with a live band. There are also many hostesses as well and, if you choose to buy them drinks, will keep you company with friendly chats. I must say they were dressed rather distractingly. The strange thing for me was that I had the sneaking suspicion that a lot of these girls go to the same nose and eye doctor. But that’s besides the point. Beer isn’t expensive here and the live music is entertaining, I heard them sing Thai songs, mandarin songs, english and cantonese songs too. It’s very laid back and there doesn’t seem to be a dress code even. Given the number of hostesses around, I don’t think this would be a good place for a group outing with girls. More like a boys night out! If you enjoy the performances from the singers you can choose to buy the singers garlands, which are effectively tips to show that you enjoy their work. That also allows them to earn some extra cash from what looks like an exhausting job. I’ve found out recently that Sylvester Sim from Singapore Idol fame performs there now but i have no clue if it’s a long term thing.
