At Muvee Space, you get to watch all the movies and trilogies you have missed(up till 2015 shows but do not expect to catch the latest Hollywood blockbusters release here), all in the comfort of your own cinema quality private theatre. We watched Momentum, which is a 2015 South African-American action thriller film starring Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman and James Purefoy, released in the USA on 16 October 2015. Note that this movie is not even released in Singapore yet but you can watch it here in Muvee Space first as they do screen films from Europe and elsewhere(non-Hollywood) earlier than the big theatre operators. At $ 50 for 2 hours, the price seems a little expensive but it also come with complimentary light snacks and drinks(served 15 minutes after the movie has started). So if you are a party of 4, this works out to $ 12.50 for a 2-hr slot which is around the same price for a movie at Golden Village on weekends. Overall, I was happy with the surround sound quality of the Dolby Atmos theatre, service of the staff and comfort level of the arm-chair and theatre. This is definitely a cosy and unique theatre experience I would recommend to my friends. Just try to go in a party of 4.

A very interesting concept whereby you rent a space, in which you get cinema sound system pimped out room that fits 4 – 8 people with comfortable«cinema» and lazy boy sofas. The target audience for Muvee are families with young children who are unable to attend a typical cinema seating and would rather rent a room or any groups of people who would to enjoy some entertainment together. It costs $ 50 for 2 hours, and you can pretty much watch any movie that they have available. I was told you would pick the movie off the mobile phone app that was to be use in the room. As Muvee also sells karaōke systems, they did mention plans to include karaōke into the entertainment package. $ 50 for 4 – 8 pax for 2 hours of karaōke sounds awesome. Their sound system was amazing, as I watched Pixels and in parts of the movie, whereby the game character drop out pixel by pixel onto the ground, you can hear the sound effect moving from the ceiling to the ground of the room. It’s amazing, to even hear rain drop effects, the sound effect is so clear! Not to mention, as it’s such a small enclosed room, you do get superb sound resonating in the room. You will get tid bits, I got a bowl of sweet potato balls, tater tots, and popcorn chicken. It was a pretty huge bowl meant to shared. Soft drinks can also be ordered. There are tables on each side of the sofa, so you can munch comfortably while enjoying a movie. I liked the concept that you are merely renting a room and the choice of entertainment is up to the customers. The sound system is top-notch, the room is comfortably air-conditioned and the sofas were meant for a cinema.
