Chinese have their Tu Tu Kueh, Malay counterpart is called Putu Piring. I chanced upon this Putu Piring in 2005 at a stall in Changi Village Hawker Center. There after, I sought after it at the same stall but they no longer carry it. I had the chance to eat it again at Bedok but I could not remember the exact place I saw and lost it once more. This Putu Piring is basically flour with Gula Melaka(Coconut?) steamed to perfection and then served hot with grated coconut. The grated coconut is salted and gives the combination a good taste. They have many fillings to try but I decided to stick to the original Gula Melaka filling. Each pack comes with 3 small size Putu Piring and grated salted coconut. A definite«will come back to buy».
