Memory World

I like Memory World, maybe indefensibly so, but I do.
I have a compulsion to collect hard drives like some people collect shoes or bags. I have more storage than I will ever need, but that brand new 3TB drive in the window is just irresistible, and I just KNOW that I will need that 3TB some day.
If you’re like me, then you could do worse than Memory World. I’m not going to say that they have the LOWEST prices in Singapore, though they sometimes do, but they are the most consistent in terms of the product that you get from them. You’re not going to get fakes or refurbished units and they’ll gladly exchange no questions asked in the first 7 days.
I actually like these guys because they patiently helped me customize my very first NAS…5 NASs later, I’m so far gone as a fan of Memory World and Synology that I can’t really be relied on to provide a fair and unbiased review. So yes, maybe you can take away ONE star for my being less than objective about the fine folks at Memory World, what with their friendly service and fair prices… the bastards!
While its true that the Cloud will eventually take over all our storage needs, I will continue to maintain a healthy distrust of firmament computing and storage so I can continue to feed my obsession.
