The fast food restaurant opens 24 hours and is packed most of the time. Recently it has upgraded with self service ordering machine. One now needs to looks at the screen for the queue number to flash before collecting the order at the counter. Besides the usual counter, there is also a McCafe outlet in the restaurant. There is both indoor and outdoor dine in area. This is one of the major 24-hour McDonalds serving the Yishun area and needless to say, it is rather crowded even in the wee ungodly hours of the morning. The service crew is usually made up of rather friendly Aunties who are pretty nice most of the time, so I’m usually nice when I visit this McDonalds. However, from my experience, avoid going there between 1230 — 3pm on weekdays. Why? Well unless you want to have your meal together with a whole load of noisy, festering, hungry and hyperactive students, I’d suggest just grabbing and going. The place will usually be absolutely packed with school children who have just been liberated from the shackles of what we know as school. The food here is pretty standard for McDonalds, nothing really awesome or nothing really to complain about. There is also a McCafe for anyone who even bothers paying a premium over their brewed coffee(which is honestly sometimes quite drinkable if fresh) for some substandard espresso based beverages.
