Excellent experience with shellac mani & regular pedi! Ting ting gave me the most gentle and relaxing pedi ever. This place is very meticulous about their craft and is constantly making sure that you are truly comfortable and happy from beginning to end.

The place I had been to on a previous visit has since gone out of business so I searched Unilocal for a place that could do nail art. I also creeped the instagram page and saw some pretty awesome designs. Be sure to check out manicurioussg IG page. This location was under construction so I didn’t get the coffee pie and all that. I was offered a beverage but had brought my own ice water. Be sure to call ahead and make a appointment. I had to wait an hour for a mani/pedi. Though I had requested nail art when making my appointment– they said they didn’t have time to do it when I came back. I ended up having a wee Baymax painted on my ring finger, but I would have really liked something more dramatic. My manicure has lasted a week with just regular OPI nail polish– that’s unheard of. I have a few very small chips but it’s not noticeable unless you really examine my fingers. I did pick a neutral color. My pedicure was amazing. I left with my feet feeling brand new. Every inch of my feet were buffed and puffed then slathered with lotion. It was easily the best pedicure I have ever had. I wish this salon was in Dallas and not halfway across the world from me! I would come back but be sure to specify exactly what you want when making your appointment and be sure to call ahead! Since everything is under construction inside it’s not the best place to wait — head to the Starbucks across the street.

Great place for mani-pedi, this was the second manicure place I tried out in Singapore and I was satisfied with their services, staffs were friendly, paid attention to details, this would be the place for me to go on regular basis.

Was tempted by the reviews on Unilocal and also the proximity to my hotel. Plus I needed a mani badly. My nails were well done, mani’d and buffed to perfection and I skipped on polish. Good job done. Why 3*? I love the whole pampering experience of a mani but the start was anything but as I was getting increasingly annoyed by my nail tech chatting to colleagues and it all being a bit stop start. Maybe it was because it was late afternoon and I was the only person in the store? Who knows. So, maybe going at another time would be better, a good job done, but overall experience was only ok…

Super concept !

Experience started out sketchy. Was offered tea, never served, had to ask for the tea. The website raves about nail art, specialty manicures etc. I inquired about a chevron design for my fingernails. You would have thought I had asked for moon dust. After pulling up their FB page & showing their photo I was informed the charge would be equivalent to a French mani. Fine & we proceed. ½ way thru they show me a black & white sheet outlining all of these different designs(remember that when I asked they seemed clueless about design offerings) including the chevron and the $ 30(in USD) up charge!!! Very, very unprofessional & deceptive. This is the first negative online review I have ever done but this just has me boiling! My advice… negotiate & settle on your services first!!! Ugghhh!

This place is absolutely amazing. I’m not even sure how to categorize it. Nail salon? Café? Boutique shop? Heaven on Earth? Probably the last one. It’s basically 3 things that girls love the most(vanity, carbs, and shopping) combined into one cute little package of a store with very kind service. I came here while on vacation recently and had a delightful afternoon here. You get a free coffee or tea with nail service. The manicure is expensive but I’ve never had a regular manicure last as long as the one I received here. Also can we talk about the adorable kitsch décor? I couldn’t get over the samosa shaped pillows and copper pipe details, cute! If you are a local, ask for the rewards card! It’s worth it!

Most of my dreams revolve around the following things: –PIE –Pedicures with endless polish color options –Cute and colorful bags, stationary and jewelry –MOREPIE –People serving me free coffee, tea and hot chocolate –Flying Not sure if I was dreaming or awake in Manicurious, but I can confirm that I was sitting down, getting a pedicure, sorting through endless polish colour options, and being served pie and(free) coffee. And this was all after perusing a beautifully curated selection of bags, jewelry, and notebooks. Welcome to my dream come true.

During a recent visit to Singapore, I was delighted to see that Unilocal has a presence. I came across this place while looking for places to to visit and stores to shop. Reading the scant reviews, they were all positive. I was especially intrigued by the concept of a boutique, café and nail salon all in one. I have to say, the items they sold were really cute and unique. My daughter wolfed down a slice of their S’Mores pie, so it must have been awesome. I did not even get a chance to steal a bite! My peek into the nail salon showed it to be clean and relaxing. I wish I had the time to get my nails done. Maybe during my next visit to Singapore, I’ll get my own slice of pie while I get my nails done.

I stopped in this place on the way to a post dinner ice-cream fix at Tom’s Palette. Unfortunately I never got to experience the coffee and sweet treats or the nail salon that other Unilocaler’s rave about. At the front of the store is the fashion retail section, where I instantly fell in love with all kinds of pretty and eccentric things like quirky jewellery, funky patterns, bags, stationary and other innovative and creative items on offer. The shop stocks international brands from Korean to Italy so you’re to find something special. I just had to buy something and I caved to a quirky grey pink felt bag by mrkt with a pink fish scale pattern.( ) Manicurious is a fabulous find and is definitely worth a visit when you get tired of trawling through the markets for cutesy cheap Asian stuff. Not only do you get to indulge your creative side, you can grab a coffee and a sweet treat and even get your nail done. What a fabulous shop, please come to Australia!!!

Did you get over the fact that I checked in here and wrote a review yet? If you’re done laughing, you’ll read that I didn’t come here for a mani/pedi — not that I couldn’t, of course. A friend clued me into the different things in this store, and you’ll see them all the moment you step in. In fact, the nail salon section is way back at the end of the shop space, and hidden behind a curtain. In front, you’ll see a variety of things including Nooka watches, lots of trinkets and accessories, and even a little fridge full of Windowsill pies. I came by for something different altogether — some handmade bags/pouches by local label Chroma. They come in a variety of colours, and you can customise a design/size for a small fee. My friend had a couple of these she’d been using as wallets, and I found them really handy, so I popped over to the store to get some made. They take a week on average to get done, and if they’re anything like what my friend’s got, I’d be super pleased! Ask to see the samples and the colour swatches, and marvel and what patterns they’ve got!

Speaking of hidden finds, the wonderful smells from this windowsill give it away. Windowsill Pies has since moved into a nail salon in Beach Road, but staunch supporters of their delicious pies have followed their scent over to their new location Manicurious chooses to specialise and concentrate on a simple menu of three extraordinary pies: the Morello Cherry($ 6.50), Banana Cognac Almond Brittle($ 6.00), and the Pumpkin Pie with Bourbon Whip($ 6.40). The Morello is an unmistakably good choice as it is chockfull with tart and sweet morello cherries and topped with a shortcrust that lends a neutral and not-as-sweet balance.

A nail bar, fashion retail space and café all rolled into one, it’s a pity that Manicurious doesn’t more crowds, perhaps due to its location. Though not much of a nail art fan(except for pedicures and manicures), Manicurious does offer a variety of beauty products and fashion accessories like bags, purses and jewelery with a quirky edge that is great for browsing. And if you get tired from the browsing, the café is the place to go to. With a barista brewing up a mean cup of coffee with Papa Palheta beans, the coffee is exceptionally good.

I got to know about Manicurious as I was trying to find out where my favourite pie stall — Windowsill Pies — had gone after they moved out of their shop space at Pandan Valley. I recently found out that they had gone to Manicurious and I just had to drop by to have a slice of their pie. Manicurious itself is a pretty cool concept stall that includes a nail parlour, a fashion and accessories boutique/retail area and a café. Windowsill Pies can be found in the café area and is definitely worth trying out! One of the best pies I have eaten in Singapore is their Sour Cherry Tart — tangy goodness in every bite, absolutely to die for.

I never did walk into Manicurious because I’d always assume it was just a nail salon, and I wasn’t wrong — it started out as a purely nail salon but has since evolved into a pretty cool concept store with retail and a café to boot. On the retail end as its name implies, it does have many curious items in the shop — lots of interesting accessories from shades, brooches and bags, sourced from local and international indie brands, so it’s a good place to head to if you want something a little kooky. Nail salon services are still available in the back, and you can get even get a quick mani/pedi during lunch if you’re in a rush, while a tiny little café area with just 2 – 3 tables makes a good spot to chill out at after pampering your nails and a little shopping. The sales people were really nice, including the nice guy who happily indulged me trying on a zillion pairs of sunglasses and my all my hmming and hawing. Will definitely be back again!
