What’s with the long queue? Long Long queues… Like seriously Long queues… But ya. Finally found one which was not too Long, and parents were happy that they get to rest their tired feet and sat down before I could decide that that is what I wanted Order system simple enough. Some had smoothies etc but I decided to go for the straight forward frozen yogurt and toppings. A large costs less than $ 7 with three toppings — I had blue berries, chocolate coated nuts and chocolate sauce. Frozen yogurt hence a bit sour — mum loved it, dad was not a big fan but was happily eating it anyways, thankful for something cold(and more importantly somewhere to sit down). It is a healthier choice and it’s not too bad for the price. Won’t mind getting another one next time round of the queue isn’t too Long :) P/s love their spoon!

The frozen yoghurt from llaollao is a favorite in Singapore, always long queues. Today was different at this llaollao place, it’s rather quiet. A friend of mine likes the frozen yogurt from this place. For me, the taste is not special but the amount of fresh fruits n berry toping are special. Good dessert at affordable prices.

Good froyo place. During peak hours, the line is ridiculously long considering the number of other froyo places in the area. I got the regular froyo with one topping. The yoghurt is not as sweet as other places, which is a plus for me and their choice of toppings(candy, fruit, nuts) is good. I would come here again and try some of the other options.

I don’t understand the fascination for this frozen yogurt, really. Nothing outstanding about the taste and if the purpose of having frozen yogurt rather than a gelato or ice cream for that matter is because frozen yogurt is healthier, then llao llao is not for you. The popular choice, Sanum, comes with choice of fruits, crunch and sauce. Besides the fruits(actually fruits are very high in sugar), the choices for the crunch and sauces are hardly healthy. Trying it for the first time, I guess it’s alright. I broke my llao llao virginity only because the queue was fairly short and my friend(who’s a hardcore fan) made us queue). It’s not awesome enough for me to start queuing every time I chance upon a llao llao in the area. My relationship with llao llao will remain in the casual and social status and that’s probably how it’s gonna be henceforth.

I think this is the first Llaollao outlet in Singapore. I saw them passing samples when they first opened and never took it(regret now). Subsequently I always saw a long line waiting to be served whenever I walked past it. I really had no idea what was so great about this froyo place. Then I tried the sanum at Plaza Singapura outlet and liked it. I came here on a weekday evening and it was not very crowded. It still took about 10 minutes of waiting before I was served. I had the sanum again and chose the caramelized sunflower seeds, chocolate sauce with blueberry, mango and melon. This combination was not as yummy as what I had previously, mainly because the sunflower seeds had a musty taste/smell, thought it tasted old as if it had been out there for ages. The mango or blueberry was sour. The chocolate sauce froze on the yogurt and plastic spoon so it was not like hot fudge with a chocolaty high. Needless to say, I did not finish this sanum. There are just so many choices that if you do pick a winning combination, you will enjoy it. I saw rum and raisin sauce, maybe I will try that next time.

llaollao(pronounced«yow-yow») have come a long way from eagerly distributing tasting samples, to entertaining long lines snaking around the block, and now opening their Nth outlet at some suburb in Singapore.(Where N = 9 at last count) This is the first and flagship store they opened, and it’s still rather popular, judging by the long lines at all times day or night. The appeal is mostly to the teenage crowd, and I can see why. There’s a lot of marketing, it’s reasonably priced, and S$ 6.50 gets you a lot more yogurt and fruit compared to other places. Nonetheless, it’s not worth waiting in line for. There are better froyo and ice cream stores out there.

eh, meh. first off, can we discuss the fact that froyo places are largely patronised(and manned) by teenagers — and that very often means the tables are sticky, the place is noisy, and the servers don’t know what’s what?! this relatively-new yogurt chain serves up a sweet swirl reminiscent of yami yogurt, but icier, less creamy, and much lighter in taste(which could very well be up your alley). the queues can get long, apparently, but when you get to the counter — make your choice of fruit/crunchy toppings and sauce for a personalised yogurt parfait. it’s probably worth a try, but I wouldn’t be queueing up again; even with their largeish selection of topping and sauce choices, the base soft-serve does nothing for me.

I was attracted to this newly opened store during my lunch break. The entire store is white with bright green lettering and the toppings counter was immaculate, which given that you’re eating raw food, is very important. Take note rest of you yoghurt chains. The fresh fruit section also looked great i.e. the fruits were cut evenly, looked fresh and were neatly portioned. The yoghurt is marketed as fresh and made of skimmed milk. I personally would like to have whole milk-based yoghurt but whatever. I decided to order a smoothie with bananas and strawberries. The server was polite and expedient in putting my smoothie together. She sliced an entire banana(+1) but added the equivalent of ONE strawberry(–1), so I got a punch of potassium but was shortchanged on the anti-oxidant front. She also added about a 2:1 ratio of milk to yoghurt, so I ended up getting a very liquid ‘smoothie’. Tasted great but eh, for $ 5.90, I see it as a quality control lapse. Wasn’t too fussed but I told the server maybe she should check her milk measurement and she said«oops ok».
