Although this swimming pool is not very accessible via MRT, it still sees quite a lot of traffic, especially on weekends. You’ll see a lot of children here using the kiddy pool as there are slides and stuff for them to play with. The Olympic-sized pool is a better fit for people who want to get fit(punny!), but I always feel like I’m in danger of getting kicked in the face by someone else especially when the pool gets very crowded. If you’re not a stickler for the distance you want to swim, you can move over to the other adult pool, which is smaller and shallower but still provides a good workout. Yes, this bears repeating again: it gets really crowded in the evenings and weekends, because it’s so cheap to come in: S$ 1 for adults and S$ 0.60 for children. Yay Singapore public swimming pools! With the two adult pools, however, the crowd is still tolerable. Still, I enjoy swimming here, especially if you come after noon when the sun is the hottest and the crowd the sparsest.
