Not our go-to place for steak, but it’s a friendly casual venue for the family to enjoy affordable meats. My husband gets the beef. I get the chicken. The kids first make themselves full on the mushroom soup and later eat the teriyaki chicken over rice, which is actually one of my favorites. Over all, the food is okay. Whatever sauce they use to marinate, I’d like to try making at home. The salad, however, was a disappointment to my husband who was expecting decent volume of fresh veggies. Interestingly, there is a ‘local fare’ page in the menu that offers… two dishes. The restaurant seems slightly run down, and the service can be slow and frustrating on weekends and holidays.

We were starving and headed to Giant to pick up some cleaning supplies and stopped in to grab a bite. We’d never been to the area so parking, was a little confusing, but not too bad once we figured it out. Jack’s Place offered a diverse menu that was paleo-friendly. The service was prompt and polite. It was really quiet while we were there and the green and white décor put me in a better mood immediately. I ordered the slip lobster and chicken, which came with veggies and my hubby got the mixed grill. The meat was seasoned and prepared well and we were both very happy with our meals and the red wine. I’m sure we’ll be back next time we’re in the area.
