After several skating trips at East Coast Park, the boyfriend and I finally decided to make a big purchase and buy our own pairs of in-line roller blades. The first place that we obviously thought of was to take a look at the various stores available at East Coast Park itself. Inline Culture was one of the first stores that we tried, and we were quite encouraged by their attitude towards patrons that weren’t as professional as others. It was pretty obvious they were amused by how insistent I was in getting skates despite my obvious lack of skills, but they ploughed on nevertheless, and still managed to present us with a ‘couple pair’ — black for him and grey for me. We were able to personalize the wheels to be higher quality for my boyfriend, and a smaller wheel diameter for me just in case I did fall often. Prices were reasonable and cheaper than those that we tried looking for at department stores or sports stores specializing in sports equipment. Staffs was also very friendly and helpful, and were generous in giving tips on how to skate well, as well as where to skate beside East Coast Park — thumbs up for young staff with high potential!
