Cheaper than abc(Artisan Boulangerie), but more expensive than Breadtalk and Four Leaves, this place suffers from location. It tries to serve French baked goods, but hasn’t taken into account Singapore environment. Star Vista is an outdoor mall. Hence, ibake is exposed to the Singapore air and humidity. If you get your bread by noon, it tastes good — crunchy outside, soft on inside,(but still twice the price than Four Leaves which has A/C!) But get your bread at 6 pm, and the crust is chewy when it’s supposed to be crunchy. The bread is kept behind the counter, but every time the workers open the door, humid air gets in and the bread spoils fast. Their garlic bread is over $ 3, but at St. Leaven(a four leaves branch) you can get a better more crunchy garlic bread for less than $ 2. I used to come here for their garlic bread until I discovered I could get it cheaper and better and some of the Four Leaves outlets.
