Fun place. Good beers on draft including Kilkenny. Menu is way more than you would expect based on looks. This is a fun pub to watch a game and chill.

Hogs Bar & Restaurant occupies one of the old white shop houses along Joo Chiat. The street is narrow, and parking is a nightmare. Especially since I cannot parallel park even if my life depended on it. Hogs Bar has space for 8(EIGHT!!!) cars right in front of the restaurant, so this is PERFECT. I arrived at just before 7pm, and I was the first car in. Joy to the world! With indoor and outdoor seating, this place is perfect for a slow Sunday evening with friends and drinks. And football. Oh ye gawds, the football. There are multiple large screen TVs all over the place, but signal from their cable box was really, really patchy. There was a live soccer match at 9pm, but don’t ask me who was playing. My answer to that would be, men. A bunch of them. All through the game, the commentary was out of sync with the live match. There were blocks of the game when the screen was frozen. All in all, not a very good place to watch the game. There is a pool table in an alcove, free to play! Again, pool is not my thing. I refer to it as, «Hey you, use the long pointy stick to score a goal in the hole!» I was disappointed that they removed their Crispy Chicken Skin from their menu, so BOOO. Drinks! From 5pm to 9pm, they have a bunch of specials. We started with«Buy 2 + 1 free» Killkenny. Happy hour prices for a LARGE range of ciders. $ 11 for a fantastic Brothers Toffee Apple Cider. $ 11 for a Green Goblin Cider. I love cider. I love toffee apples. I love Brothers Toffee Apple Cider. For finger foods, we ordered truffle fries(no truffles, just fries), potato wedges, deep fried mozzarella sticks, fried white bait, onion rings. Nothing on the snack front was good. They do have a dinner menu, with burgers and flatbreads. Will I be back? Yes. Yes — For the convenient parking. Yes — For the wide range of ciders.
