nobody would really pay attention to this shopping centre unless they are there to visit a maid agency or have some golf equipment to get. to my knowledge, there are only 3 eating places in this bulding — one Japanese, one western(both 3rd floor) and one local breakfast place(basement). though you can’t tell from the outside, Hob Nob actually has a decent seating area for nearly 20 pax. it’s very cosy and it has an open kitchen concept so you can watch the lone chef at work while you chat or watch the telly for the latest news. 4 of us ordered, a tuna sandwich, a fish burger, a chicken burger and spaghetti aglio olio with prawns. waiting time was average about 7 minutes for each dish and the portions are big. my spaghetti wasn’t spectacular but still I would say it’s very well done for a small establishment like Hob Nob. the noodles and prawn were al dente but a little too bland and wet for my liking. if you like garlic and shallots, you will enjoy this dish as it had plenty of both mixed in the spaghetti. i will certainly go back to try the other dishes on their menu. some of the items that took my interest were the fish and chip, baked rice and lamb shank. the prices here are nett so one more reason to return. oh and they have a fridge solely for wine.

I never come to Far East Shopping Centre, so was pleasantly surprised when I found out there’s at least one decent place to eat. Hob Nob is a tiny nondescript«Western» café on the third floor. It does stuff like bruschetta, garlic bread, soup, fish and chips, spaghetti. Some better than others. I wouldn’t say the food is great, BUT it is very averagely priced and better than many other more expensive places to eat around these parts. It’s quite decent actually.
