Another great visit to Erich’s. I hit the bratworst and the curryworst. Both great and I recomend getting the brat on bread with mustard. I was pleasantly surprised by the Stiegl weiss beer… good stuff. I will continue to make this spot a required stop every trip in town.

The currywurst is a pretty small portion but the price is small too. Great snack to power your day in China town. Didn’t get a chance to sample the German beers on hand. Great place to get some comfort food to supplement your diet of chicken rice.

Erich appears to be a legend in SGP, and the pictures of a younger version shows that he has been here for awhile. After hearing about curry wurst, I was definitely interested in checking this place out! But first, we had to wait, as Erich as not ready and told us to come 10 min later. We waited and we were rewarded by reasonably priced curry wurst and beer. The curry sauce was a bit on the sweet side, as are most condiments in SGP for my tastes, but the sausage and roll were spot on. Will definitely be a regular stop on my trips through Chinatown though!

Interesting to find a rather authentic German sausage stall right smack in the outskirts of Chinatown. I had their sausage with cheese and I love it! Though I must say that the price is quite steep for the sausages. I also had the soup which I would say ‘nevermind the soup’ the next time.

This is a famous German food stop in downtown Chinatown. It is run by a real German chef, Erich, who has been serving in Singapore for several years. In a place where I find it tough to find much meat, this is a sure stop to get yourself a hefty bratwurst. You can even get one filled with cheese if you like. A bun or mustard are additional options. In addition, this shop is famous for its onion bread, which is quite tasty, even if you’re not usually a fan of onions. This is a nice stop for real German food, served up by a friendly chef.
