Is it weird to love a laundromat? Although, I suppose, it’s more like lust than love since I don’t love laundromats or appreciate them for what they are when I’m at home n have easy access to my very own washer dryer. This place is right at the entry of the main Chinatown looking building, entrance on the left side alley way. There aren’t and doors to the shop so it’s pretty noticeable once you walk down that way. Walking distance from the CBD hotel we were staying in so we just lugged my ten days worth of stuff(which I wore in seven) out there for a good washing. Just a basic wash for 5 $ since I didn’t roll around in the mud or anything and then another 5 for drying– just bring 2, 5, 10 to exchange for the tokens to use for their machines — sooo much cheaper than having the hotel do it and def less creepy. Is anybody else freaked out by the idea of strangers touching ur undergarments??! Eeek gives me the chills just thinking about it Haha Done in about an hour and I was back to feeling sparkly clean. Yayyyyy

Easy Wash is a coin laundromat that you need in the middle of the night, in the middle of that plaza with that Chinese-y roof in the middle of Chinatown. It’s open 24 hours a day so if your precious bedsheet that wrapped the body you just buried needs a wash from tell-tale stains, you can quickly get it cleaned. Free detergent included! There are 3 kinds of wash options: Normal; Soft Wash for delicates; and Double Wash for that dirty dirty bedsheet you’re too cheap to dispose of. Be sure to look at the foot of the washer to determine the the type machine you need. It’s color-coded. Pop an extra $ 1 to sterilize using ozone or hot water. For that bedsheet, you’ll need ozone because hot water will make protein-based stains permanent. Add another $ 1 for softener, you cold-hearted beast. Their smallest washing machine is at 11kg(which is 24lb for us Americans) and at $ 5 a wash, it took about 40 minutes. The middle size at 16kg might still be too small for you. You’re gonna need the big one at 20kg at $ 9 and that’ll run you under an hour for a double-wash. I hope you have a getaway bicycle nearby! Dryer was $ 1 for 5 minutes — take your pick at 60C, 70C or 80C. I like that there are no doors to this laundromat. It’s really quiet and lonely in here at night, but without the door, at least the sound of mahjong tiles crashing nearby makes it somewhat comforting to know that there are other human beings nearby.
