Dstllry is a must for sushi fans. Their baracharashi is fresh and well portioned. I heard that they used to be more generous with the fish, but even with their decrease, it was enough for me(and I have a western-sized appetite — not a small, «already full after five bites“kind of appetite). If you go during lunch, you get a light side of scrambled eggs which is unexpected but so tasty. The ambiance is this hipster, artsy, New York vibe which is great for a time of relaxing and enjoying good food. On a side note, they serve their miso soup in a cup not a bowl. Just warning you because when the server gave me the cup, I took a huge gulp thinking it was water. At least it tasted good! Definitely planning on going again and again

Our Monday night dates were at DSTLLRY for a good three months. I’d usually only get the Baracharashi but their Spicy Charashi Ramen soon won my heart. Their chunky sashimi mountain has reduced slightly of late but the quality has remained. For $ 18 a pop, I’d say it’s still underpriced(explains e 3 months). Owner, Andrew Lum, is photography hobbyist — which explains the restaurant set up likening to a photo gallery with edison bulbs and black walls. The bar seats line the perimeter of the open-kitchen, half of which is dedicated to cocktail mixing. Red, the Taiwanese mixologist, gets into a kungfu stance when mixing the drinks — always a delight to watch. Once in awhile, Master Lum displays his mixing skills, both at the bar and the turntable — the tracks played in the restaurant are his masterpieces.

Dstllry is one of the few places which marries excellent food, cocktails, music, atmosphere & of course good company. The staff are friendly and the boss, Andrew, is there every day to greet his customers or even mix up some cocktails himself. Popular food items are the barachirashi don & the Miyazaki A4 Wagyu beef Recommended to make reservations especially for dinner.

A very nice cosy pretty expensive cocktail and omakase bar. You can pretty much leave it to the chef to decide what you’ll be eating or you can choose some bar food to go with your cocktails. Very friendly bartenders who can pretty much concoct something to suit your mood or taste.
