Excellent jajangmyun and tangsooyuk. We have been here twice, and have left fully satisfied both times. I’m hesitant to try other Korean Chinese restaurants since I’ll regret going to an inferior place. There are other interesting items on the menu, but I hardly vary my order when dining in a Korean Chinese place since I come craving for jajangmyun. We did try a cold beef appetiser the last time and it was excellent, although pricey.

Delicious Korean/Chinese-style food. Jjangmyun(black bean noodles), sweet & sour pork. Forgot to order dumplings this time but saw them at other tables. Looked super appetizing. Recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Go check it out!

Very solid Korean-Chinese food. The classics would be noodles in black bean sauce and sweet and sour pork.

As all Korean restaurants do, Dong Bang Hong offers massive quantities of food that comes in a set menu for both lunch and dinner. The great thing about these restaurants is how they have private booths for large groups of 6 – 10. I would recommend it for corporate gatherings like a normal lunch or a farewell do! Very private with quick and efficient service. There is a good mix of local and Korean staff, so no fear of any awkward gesturing and language barriers during your meal. It’s located just nearby Raffles Place which means a mostly office crowd and and quiet atmosphere for lunch. But it does get rowdy during Fridays and dinners, we all know how alcohol is never missing from the table at Korean gatherings! 2 main items that are a ‘must-try’ would be the Jjajjangmyeong(Bean Sauce Noodles) and their Seafood Soup Noodles. Both feature their signature slick and bouncy hand cut noodles that keeps you digging at the bowl even with a full stomach!
