De Fu 24

De Fu 24 sells traditional Chinese pastries and cakes. While they buy some of their pastries and cakes from the factories and resell them, they also make a few of their own cakes/​kuehs and these are the ones that people usually go for. I particularly love their yam cake. Unlike many yam cakes that I have tasted, this one has a very rich and thick yam flavor instead of being made up of mostly flour. The sweet sauce that comes with the yam cake is also their special concoction and is rich, sweet and salty to the right level.
Do note that they are open only in the mornings to early afternoon and the yam cakes sell out really fast so be sure to be there early.
