All you need is $ 2! Trust me when I say the selection is amazing. Home, garden, children items, snacks, bowls they have it all. If you’ve been to Daiso in Japan, it’s exactly the same(albeit it’s 100 yen in JP, compared to $ 2SGD) I had to knock one star off because it’s always madness here and you must be prepared to stand in line for 20 minutes, at least, just to pay for your basket of things.

Wah lau. Daiso also got on Unilocal ah. Hahahaaaa Anyway, eventhough everything is $ 2 but it is not the cheapest in town. So caveat emptor… Errrr not sure if spelling is correct. Basically buyers beware I like to shop there. But don’t complain if u find it cheaper else where. Especially don’t complain to me lah. Other people, up to u

Home to the $ 2 items you never knew you needed, but bought because it is so cheap, only to realise that you still dont need them: P My parents are crazy fans of Daiso — and I’m a huge beneficiary of their Daiso outings, from small organising boxes to Japanese snacks. I love exploring Daiso with all the treasures you can find, whether for home décor or craft materials. The outlet at Vivo is super huge, which makes exploring twice the fun :)

Shopping here is great as you can just grab anything that catches your fancy as everything is just $ 2. Don’t be mistaken though, while prices are low, the quality of the goods sold here are pretty good. They don’t really break or fall apart easily. One thing I always come back to get are the plastic containers, which are much cheaper than the type sold at Muji, and can last for a couple of trips as well. Besides that, they carry some snacks and drinks that might cost more at other Japanese speciality stores, so be sure to check them out before buying!

Daiso, Everything all 2 freakkin bucks! Imagine, with just $ 10, you get to purchase 5 items. I mean, which stall would actually sell all, ALL their products at $ 2 each? Yep, Daiso from Japan would. There are a whole range of stuffs, from confectioneries, to dining utensils, craft work and even magic! That place is like Wonka land to me. The outlet at VivoCity is pretty huge, but their arrangement of stocks can be pretty messy. Although the signs are there to help you with your navigation, after many years going in and out of the shop, I still can’t find my stuffs properly. Also, the queue at VivoCity can be crazy. If you’re holding less than 4 items on hand, I’ll advise you to come again another day, or another timing. Some people carry baskets and baskets of stuffs. That’s Singaporeans for you.

Daiso at Vivo City is an «everything goes for S$ 2» Japanese livingware department store. Japan really pay a lot of attention to detail so they sell really smart and high quality product for daily usage. There’s plenty of products you never knew existed but realize you can’t live without. Especially at this Vivo outlet, which is pretty huge. The lines during lunch can be very long. If you only have one product it’s really not worth the wait I think. Best value are the kitchen supplies.
