Came here for July Yube with a few Unilocalers :) Before coming here, did my research on what to get. I wanted to try a number of dishes but I decided to go for two instead. Here are my reviews of what I’ve tried. 1) Macaron croissant — buttery, crispy and flaky tops, the fillings were not too sweet. 2) Earl Grey Orange Loaf for take away — the earl grey flavor is extremely strong and the bread wasn’t soft. The orange peels and walnuts inside the bread enhanced the taste. 3) Lemmy Lemonade for beverage 4) New Zealand Cream Cheese Danish — the cheese danish was also flaky(more dessert-like flakes) and tasty and the cream cheese on the top was not too sweet — tried a small bite of this. 5) Hainanese chicken bread with chili sauce on the side — mild taste and the small bits of chicken and a dip of chili sauce helped to enhance the chicken rice flavor in the bread. This café offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately the indoor seating is limited so you might need to come at the right time. When you go in, you will see different kinds of breads or pastries on the side. Then you will need to line up before you get to the counter where you order dishes or beverages on the menu. Unfortunately for us, they got our orders confused or even missed our orders. On my end, they forgot to serve me my drink and had to get the cutleries on my own. Price wise it is definitely on the pricier end as I paid around $ 15 for three items. Will probably go back there to try out their green tea or earl grey brioches in the near future.

Earl pear bread pudding($ 12) — 3 stars 3 stars because I paid $ 3.80 for it using the Sugar app. Otherwise it’d probably be a 2. Don’t think this is worth $ 12 at all. Other breads seem to have a good texture from the little samplers I nibbled on. There’s free wifi — they give you a code at the counter that’s valid for an hour. Ambience — 4 stars Would love to come back for brunch or tea with friends. I tend to park on the roads by Coronation Plaza and Fairprice, but they can get pretty full. Never tried the underground parking lots — maybe those aren’t too expensive.

Great freshly baked breads and pastries — all baked on site. Simple expresso coffee menu but has an interesting tea selection. Despite the simple coffee list, I enjoyed my flat white, which used a nice chocolatey and nutty roast. I ordered the Almond Cheese Brioche, which was lovely — soft, fluffy and perfectly matched with almond cheese. The café adopted a Danish look, like those Scandinavian cafes sporting hues of blue, white and lots of natural light. Light jazz music plays in the background. The overall ambience is beautifully enhanced by whiffs of fresh baked breads sneaking in from the glass-separated kitchen/bakery(which was surprisingly well-staffed despite a labor-staff environment here in Singapore) I consider the prices on the moderately-high side(not exactly cheap for croissants priced between $ 2.20 to $ 2.80).
