The Chinese economy rice stall in this food court is the best I have found so far in Singapore. The food is fresh and cooked well across the board. As you approach the outlay, you can see the freshness in bright and vibrant colors. A few of my favorite choices are the eggplant in soy-based sauce, large pork chop in tomato-based or sweet and sour sauce, and the green beans fried with minced pork. The rice is a bit plain and could be better cooked. However, there is abundant sauce available, including curry and garlic chili, at the end of the station near the register. A dish with one meat and two vegetables goes for $ 3 – 4.

This is a food court by block 345. It is definitely one of the best food court in the Clementi area. Majority of the stalls have very good local food, the ambiance is bright and clean and people there are always nice and friendly. What more can you ask for in a local food court? My favorite is the mixed rice. Their food are displayed very attractively with lots of care. You can expect not to get leftover bits of fish or meat. Every piece of meat and fish are very well proportioned and definitely cooked with care. Their vegetables are also fresh looking and cooked perfectly with no excess oil. You won’t get any overcooked mushy looking vegetables here. They also keep a pot of tasty curry or soy-based gravy at the end of the line if you like your rice with gravy. The staffs are also very friendly and patient while you make your choice among the large number of dishes they have there. Now, who says you can’t eat healthy while eating out and eating cheap? Besides the mixed rice, this food court also has the local Western food chain — Char Grill Bar, Kimly Seafood, Jalan Besar Rojak/Popiah, a chicken and duck rice stall, a dim sum stall, two noodles stall and a pretty decent claypot rice. If you are looking to go local, this is a highly recommended food court.
