I must say, this is some good Korean fried chicken. I think it’s best to come here during lunch, when you have more opportunities to try certain dishes. It appears they have some good combos(4 wings + spam burger, for example), as opposed to dinner when it’s more for groups and single diners(like me that evening) are stuck with just 8 wings or 16 wings to choose from. Sure, you could order extra sides but it would be more expensive, and just too much food for one! I ordered the 8 piece soy chicken wings. A pretty safe choice flavour-wise, but still very delicious. It was a tad bit too greasy, which left me jelak* by wing #7. I could barely finish wing #8! So, want to meet me here for lunch or dinner? :) – *Please tell me I’m using this word right!

I am a big fan of Korean Fried Chicken. I thought I am gonna love this place, but meh. Of course I wouldn’t compare to those korean fried chicken style in Korea… that wouldn’t be fair. But however, this place is nothing compared to Crisp(also a korean fried chicken restaurant) in Chicago. Food wise, the taste and the texture of the chicken was just OK. I tried 4 out of 5 flavors they have(soy, garlic, sweet, crispy) — none is my favorite. The garlic one doesn’t really have garlic flavor. Service was very good, hence, I give this place a 3 stars intead of 2. The manager was very attentive of our order and making sure we got exactly what we wanted when our order came up to our table. Me and my friends ordered Korean Rice Wine that came in an aluminium teapot. It was my first time trying korean rice wine and I really like it. The alcohol is not that strong, and price wise is reasonable here($ 20).

My friend wanted to try this place. We were early at around 615pm on a week night and the place was empty. It soon filled up close to 7pm and customers would have to wait outside for an available table. The place is very small and the tables are equally tiny which means even if they decide to separate the tables for 2 diners, the table cannot hold more than 2 baskets of food. We decided to get a basket of 16 wings/drumlets(in set of 8 pcs) so that we can try 2 different flavors — spicy and garlic. The spicy sauce was fiery hot though if it could be considered medium hot to some people. It was very addictive though that I found myself dipping the garlic flavored wings into the hot sauce. In comparison the garlic wings were very mild. It was garlicky and a bit sweetish. The kimchi spam rice burger was quite good. The rice was sticky but did not hold together so you still need a spoon/fork to scoop the rice. The spam had a thin layer of mayo on it. Somehow the combination of creamy, sourish and spicy with seaweed sprinkled rice worked very well. I like this better than the fried chicken. 8 pieces were just too much for 1 person. I really wish they can do a 4 or 6 pc set, or allow mixing of sauces. While it did not taste oily when we were devouring the wings, the greasiness set in after that. I actually felt queasy after leaving the restaurant. I think the chicken is good but not great. It was not that crispy, not like 4fingers or Nene chicken type of crispiness. But the chicken is much bigger which made 8 pieces a bit of an overkill. Go with 3 or more people to share and have more choices in flavors. Cash or Nets payment only.

Pretty decent tasting Korean fried chicken but you can only order in multiples of 8($ 16) not exactly friendly for sharing. The food came quickly even though we were told that they had run out off whole chickens on a Sunday morning at 1130am when they had just opened. It’s a very small restaurant and it can probably get really packed for dinners. I we ended spending $ 50 for 4 people who aren’t big eaters. The prices are nett which is a plus. There was only one waitress serving the whole restaurant and she was quite overwhelmed but nonetheless we were happy to receive our food quickly. :)

this korean fried chicken is crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. the breast meat was very moist — really a wonderful delight when ordering a whole chicken. it reminded me of the fried chicken i had in Seoul last Nov. very authentic and flavorful. the Original flavor comes with a home made mustard sauce on the side and it adds a tangy touch to the chicken when you dip in it. the spicy flavor was not too strong but you can make special request to have the chef cook it to your preferred level of spiciness. they also serve the chicken in soy and sweet sauces. the men in my group like the soy better and most women like the sweet. teokbokki and kimchi are served as sides in this restaurant which is a nice change from the usual pickled radish that most chicken restaurants serve. a unique dish they offer is the cham chi rice burger. it is rice patties with kimchi and tuna fillings. the kimchi and tuna are mixed together in a special sauce and packed into the seaweed mixed rice patties. really yummy and good size portion to share among friends. one thing to note is that parking is hard to come by when you go to that area so i recommend the concourse. we only had to pay $ 1.07 for weekend parking in the building and there are plenty of space. i think it beats having to wait forever for a lot on the street.
