Quality check. As good as ever on the la zi ji which is the main thing we are after. Place has since somewhat deteriorated with loads if junk piled up where the kitchen is but really who cares as long as my craving is satisfied and i leave the place with a sweaty flustered up face and a numb tongue!

Gosh. If you want truly spicy Sichuan food this is the place to go. Unassuming little place on Outram road but what fabulous food. I had the chong Qing chicken (thinly sliced garlic, peppercorns, red chilly, ginger, fried chicken). It will burn you through and through so make sure you have rice on the side to absorb the heat. I also had the dumplings in chili oil. Also spicy but in a more straightforward way. The chicken teases you mercilessly with heat and numbness. The pieces are small and crunchy with no real bones.
