Challenger has an excellent return policy. Recently, a mouse that my son bought stopped working after two months. We brought it back to Challenger only wishing to find out how to get it repaired. We did not even have a receipt. The kind shop clerk exchanged it no questions asked. Much more than we expected or asked for. Well done.

Despite not having the deep pockets to afford all the latest geeky technology, the boyfriend and I often drop by Challenger stores to take a gander and check out the latest releases. This branch at Jurong Point seems to have the least number of staff, but that also means that there are less people who hover unnecessarily around while you’re just browsing. Every single available screen will be inevitably playing some Korean pop song, but it also lends a more upbeat atmosphere to shoppers, unlike the old spa-like music that just makes me bored. They sell lots of different brands of items and not just the major few, which is great when I’m looking for a temporary fix to tide me over while I’m waiting for a new phone model or head phone model to be released. Being a member also allows you to have exclusive discounts and points accumulation, which is a great loyalty program too.

Challenger is quite likely the go-to electronics and computer store that most Singaporeans would think of first. Sure, there are others that saturate the market but I think generally, Challenger offers the best value and range of products. Each visit that I’ve made, whether to this particular branch at Jurong Point or others, I’ve usually found what I was looking for and for the same prices as other stores, if not cheaper. Further, the member prices add even more incentive to shop here. For those who have not shopped at Challenger before, you can find almost anything you need here when it comes to computers, from different types and brands of keyboards or mouse, to travel adapters, to Apple accessories, to laptops, to blank DVDs and more. They also sell TVs, DVD players, computer software, printers and scanners as well as game console software. Honestly it’s a one-stop shop for all computer needs.

Challenger is definitely a one-stop shop for all your electronic and gadget needs. From laptops to cameras and a whole lot more, definitely a top of mind choice for the locals and foreigners alike. I come to Challenger for my gadget accessory needs because their rates are just within my budget, and I’m not even a member yet. The next time I came back with my mother, we bought so much stuff and the staff was really helpful in terms of directing us where is what. We loved our time there so much that we decided to sign up to be members. We were happy with our non-member rates, imagine how much we were gonna save if we were one. For an electronic store offering items at an affordable rate, everything is arranged beautifully like they are expensive finds. They are good finds and you’re getting your money’s worth. I did get lost the first couple of times but it wasn’t difficult to get used to it.
