Yes, I know it’s 2014– but I still like to buy CD’s while I can because I find this newfangled«iTunes» too complicated to maintain sometimes! Since CD stores are probably not going to be taking over the island anytime soon, I try to appreciate the ones that are still around. Sometimes I hear lovely music coming out of this small shop in the basement of United Square, so I decided to stop by and see what they had to offer. As United Square is a children’s mall, you’ll immediately see an educational and children’s section right at the entrance of CD Plus. The rest of the store is organised by categories like Ambient(aw yeah dolphin songs), Inspirational, Healing, and even Celtic! And of course, you’ll find today’s pop artists, jazz, and concert DVDs. CD prices were okay, still a bit above average at the $ 20 – 22 price point. I’m currently in a classical music phase, so finding a 3CD set of the 50 Best Piano Classics for $ 36 made me a happy camper! And unlike my most recent retail experiences, at least the lovely folks running the store made the effort to approach me and ask if I needed any help. +1 star for that!
