Good food, very slow and lousy service. Quite typical for Singapore eating establishments where a 15% service charge is tacked on to the bill whether the waiter has a pulse or not. We had to ask for bread 3 times before it arrived after about 20 minutes. It’s a simple request but the waiter just didn’t think it was important. Prices are on the high side — over twenty bucks for entrees and everything is ala carte but you get hawker center service minus the tissue vendors.

I am so surprised that Caruso isn’t on Unilocal already. But maybe that isn’t a bad thing because this place is so good you’ll want to keep it your little secret. I was there for dinner last week and we had the burrata which was incredible, melt in your mouth and bursting with flavour. We then had the spaghetti caruso and panzerotti tartufati, both were excellent. The pasta is handmade and the sauces are just right. Great balance of flavours, not too heavy. The house wine is good too. My review doesn’t even begin to do it justice! The restaurant itself is cozy and relaxed with a neighborhood restaurant vibe that makes you feel comfortable the minute you step in. I’m already planning my next meal there.
