Ok — so when you tire of the 2SGD lunches in the open air café, and have a staff card or know someone with one… this is the place to be. They have daily specials and some ‘western dishes’ and some local favorites. I tried the laksa noodles and my friend, a local, had the chicken rice. Both were very good. High quality ingredients, nicely presented, and very tasty and economical. Do walk down the hill afterwards for a nice cup of coffee to finish off the meal.

Café on the Ridge is located in the KR Guild House, a stone’s throw from NUS Business School and the School of Computing, so it’s a great location if you are in either faculty(and one of the few restaurants in this part of NUS). It can get pretty crowded during lunch time, but it’s one of the better places to go to on campus when you’re sick of canteen food or the canteen environment. They have Daily Set Lunches for about $ 11, and you can order some side dishes with that as well if you’re still hungry. Ofc you can order something that’s not part of a set(will be more expensive, without a free coffee, but not much more). And you can have a cake for dessert when you are done. I once got a slice of cheesecake, and while it wasn’t fantastic, it wasn’t bad, and better than other cheesecake you would get on campus(relatively speaking).
