This is actually my second time dining in at this café. Unfortunately I wasn’t into Unilocaling on my first time here. Heh! Price range is a bit over average if I have to rate it over quantity and taste. Place is cram as usual with just 6 tables. Although I have to point out that this is one of the few Muslim-owned(obviously Halal-certified) cafés in Singapore that can be considered ‘hip’ in my books; you’ll see a lot of Malay ladies dine in here all the time. It’s also where I can peacefully eat café-style meals which are meaty, since well… they’re halal. The truffle fries, well let’s just say I can definitely make myself a better plate. I just feel that the seasoning is really second-rate and too plain. I have also tried their Portobello Fries, which are basically fried mushrooms. Nice on the first bites, but soon you’ll regret your order. I don’t know… perhaps I’m no mushroom fan. I tried their Butterscotch Soufflé today. Nice. It’s served with a mini-ramekin of vanilla ice-cream and chocolate sauce. But if anything, I’m a fan of their rainbow cakes. It’s hard to actually find a tasty rainbow cake, but I feel this one nails it every time. They do have a variety of cakes and other desserts, along with a range of homemade ice-creams.
