For people who loves to solve real life puzzles, figure out clues and to play a detective or thief role, this is the place for you to live your childhood dream even though you’re not in the job you thought you’d be as a cop. Great also for small groups, or company bonding time. Recommended to try at least once!

We booked this place well before our trip with it highly recommended. Not far from Chinatown subway station, this place is easy to miss from the street so keep your eyes open. A couple small signs point to the third floor office of Breakout. Heading up, the reception was pleasant and prompt. The guys checked us in as we played with some puzzles in the office, and then locked out stuff in the lockers provided. BTW the lockers are free and you keep the key with you during the game so, i felt my items were secure. Heading into the the game we were briefed by the staff and allowed entry into the gameroom, which, when looking seemed a little messy and dark. That was deliberate. The timer was started, we were left alone, and the door locked behind us… an hour to figure out how to get out. This involves multiple puzzles that were not so obvious to solve, and using(a few) hints the staff was kind enough to provide, we ALMOST broke out in time. ha! Without spoiling the rooms, the minimum people needed for each is 2 – 4 depending on which was chosen. And at S$~26 per person, it was well worth the time. Thankfully the crew is watching you, and can come in if assistance is needed. Needless to say, i would do this again, perhaps keeping an eye out for the clues that seemed obvious after a thorough explanation from the crew. Good job guys, good job. My only gripe: some of the clues were quite a stretch and required some explanation altogether to produce an OOOHHHH in my brain, and a gentle eye roll, and a feeling of duh…
