Came here before it was about to close. And they ran out of all of their ingredients… Like what? We couldn’t order anything… Just go their fresh milk drink with grass jelly. Friend got the grass jelly with pudding and boba. Server messes up our order, gave me the drink with pudding and grass jelly. Gave her the grass jelly with only boba. Drink was really yummy, and the grass jelly with boba was good. The boba was soft and chewy, the best boba I’ve had in Singapore. But really? Running out of all of your ingredients and messing up on our order? Kind of sucks.

Two words: default dessert. They aren’t everywhere yet, so when I do see them in the mall, I go a little nuts. I’ve probably been to this branch more times than I can remember — and the one thing you HAVE to try is the black ball signature. Grass jelly over their special shaved ice, topped with sweet red beans, bubble tea pearls, and what can best be described as gnocchi… made of sweet potato and yam. Pretty phenomenal. What’s so special? That grass jelly has a stretchier consistency, which gives it a little more bite(yes, I know I’m fine-dining-describing grass jelly), and that shaved ice isn’t ordinary ice — it’s ice made from grass jelly water, so your dessert is never watered down. Fun fact: I discovered only YESTERDAY that you can also get winter melon tea shaved ice. It blew my mind. Seriously.

this place is pretty awesome. their specialty is smooth, silky grass jelly — a black, translucent jelly without much discernible taste, usually served in large cubes for dessert or thin slivers in syrup as a drink — as a bed for other toppings: starches such as taro balls, beans cooked in sugar, and various other accoutrements.

If you like Taiwanese dessert, you will love this. This is their 5th outlet in Singapore and they just opened yesterday. The chain supposedly opened 20 stores in Taipei in a year. Their signature is a mixture bowl of their signature balls — yam, sweet potato, glass jelly. I think for people who likes the pearls in bubble tea will love it. I like my bubble tea without the pearls, thus this is a just okay dessert for me. My friend likes the glass jelly drink which has a generous amount of glass jelly. And their drinks comes with a varying degree of sugar level. On a hot day, this would be brilliant.
